Food & Agriculture

This year's On the Farm STEM program brings together science educators at the middle and high school levels together with experts in science education, food & agricultural science, and beef production to envision a model for high school science learning that will inspire today’s students through content that is relevant and real to their everyday lives.

30 Science-Educators Selected

Approved travel expenses will be reimbursed up to $750.00

Meals, hotel and materials are included in the program

Gain insight from instructional units developed in real contexts

Participants can earn up to 40 CEU of professional development hours

Immersive Experience

The immersive experience will include visits to 4-6 beef industry sites, hands-on experiences, classroom facilitation, and a lot of great food and fellowship. Travel, food, accomodations, and classroom supplies are provided.

Webinar Series

The webinar series has been designed to provide you the foundational concepts and initial resources for a successful professional development.

Shape 2 Participants should plan to spend 2 hours for each webinar which include pre-work, virtual webinar, and post work.

On The Farm STEM Denver is looking for science educators, STEM leaders, science curriculum directors, science department leads, and affiliated science community members for the 2023 immersive experience in Denver, Colorado.
