Science Through the Lens of Agriculture

On The Farm STEM is an expenses-paid professional development and immersive learning program for science educators. This experience will showcase food, agriculture, and dairy production as meaningful context for science teaching and learning that will inspire today’s students, our next generation of scientists and citizens, to take action and feel empowered to use food and agriculture to improve society.

Participants will discover agricultural phenomena that can be used for classroom learning experiences, engage with industry experts, see modeling of NGSS design principles, and witness firsthand how agriculture and food contexts can increase the relevancy and authenticity of content in science classrooms.
